Harvest Moon over the Mountains Sterling Silver Bracelet with Citrine

Handcrafted to capture the romance, intrigue, and splendor of a rising Harvest Moon over the mountains, this unique sterling silver cuff bracelet embodies the spirit of the southwest blended with artisan elegance as a tribute to the traditions of silversmithing and allure of wonderous natural landscapes.

As a departure from commonplace design elements, the bracelet blank was sawed by hand from 18 gauge sterling silver using a tapered cut measuring ¾ in wide on the ends and 1.5 inches in the middle. The mountains were cut free form with a jewelry saw and feature engraved details darkened with a pewter black patina that was brushed onto the silver in varying amounts to produce the grey. Injecting warmth into the colder silver tones is a deep yellow 8 mm Citrine stone set just above the saddle in the mountain peaks to interrupt a night well underway with colorful lunar radiance. These three main elements were joined together using sterling silver soldered and fused with an acetylene torch. Before setting the citrine stone and finishing the silver with a series of wire brushes to reveal surface highlights for added dimension, the bracelet was shaped over an ovular wooden mandrel by tapping with non-marking nylon mallets.
