Sterling silver ring for a new mom with babyfeet and birth date

Handmade for a new mom, this bypass ring was cut and formed from thick 16 gauge (1.25 mm) sterling silver and has stamped baby feet along with that special date on the inside of the ring. The ring was hammered into a .5 inch bypass pass ring by wrapping the flat stamped sterling silver diagonally over the steel mandrel and forming with a nylon mallet. The edges have been meticulously hand filed, a black patina added to the metal stamping, and a brushed burnish finish reveals a vibrant silver shine.

Measuring .5 inch in length on your finger, 1.25 mm thick, 5 mm wide, and adjustable, this ring will fit comfortably on almost any finger. Since I was always disappointed with the flimsiness of typical silver bypass rings including those from big box retail stores, I decided to use thicker 16 gauge sterling silver for a higher quality appearance and more massive feel that one would expect from higher end jewelry. The brushed finish is much easier to maintain than a mirror finish, however a mirror finish is available by entering your preferences in the check out notes.

There is plenty of space to personalize this ring with a baby name or meaningful celebratory word such as “congrats” or “proud mom.” Although this ring is fully adjustable, you can also order the ring in a specific size, by entering your ring size or fit preferences along with any custom stamping and dates in the notes to seller section during check out.
