Flower shaped sterling silver ring with blue topaz

In full bloom with silver radiance and the shine of a blue topaz from Switzerland, this sterling silver flower ring was sawed entirely by hand from 18 gauge sterling silver using a fine jewelry saw and given a curved shape by hammering on a dapping block to capture a realistic flower shape, while adding depth, dimension and producing natural highlights when light strikes the surfaces.

Allowing for custom sizing options, a handmade ring shank was created by hammering 16 gauge sterling silver wire over a steel mandrel and soldering the ends together at a nearly invisible carefully filed seam, before joining the flower and ring shank with sterling silver solder fused using an acetylene torch. While the addition of a 5 mm blue topaz was the final step, fine details such as patina enhanced petal veins and a satin buffed finish, complete the design with stunning perfection.

The flower ring as photographed is a size 7 with a 1 inch flower, but can be ordered in any size by simply entering your ring size in the notes to seller section during check out or contacting me directly. You may also customize the design, metals, or request any gem or birthstones.
